Financial Assistance

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AT WPGA 

WPGA is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable school community. Our financial assistance program provides tuition support for families who demonstrate financial need and may not otherwise be able to afford the full cost of a WPGA education.

WHO CAN APPLY

Need-based bursaries are available for both prospective and current families with students entering or enrolled in Grades 5–12. Financial assistance is intended to support families who are unable to afford the full cost of tuition, whether due to ongoing financial limitations or unforeseen, temporary hardship. For applicant families, the admission criteria and expectations are the same for all students, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances. Because these factors can change year to year, all families must submit a new application annually.

APPLICATION PROCESS

WPGA partners with , a third-party organization and member of Financial Aid for Canadian Students, to assess financial need. AFS conducts a confidential and independent review of each family’s financial situation and provides a recommendation to WPGA’s Financial Assistance Committee.

Financial assistance decisions are based on:
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • The number of applications received
  • Available school funding

Fees & Deadlines

  • Fees

    The estimated turnaround time for AFS is 2-3 weeks upon receipt of an application and necessary documentation. The cost to submit an application to AFS in fall 2024 is $137.50. If applying to more than one school, an additional $15 fee is required for each other school.

  • Deadlines

    The deadline for financial assistance applications is November 14, 2025.

    The process for admission to WPGA and the process for financial assistance at WPGA follow slightly different timelines. The important dates are as follows:

    February-March 2026
    Receive a decision regarding both the application for admission to WPGA and the application for financial assistance at WPGA.
     

  • Families already enrolled at WPGA

    • November 14, 2025: Deadline for AFS financial assistance application.
    • December 2025-January 2026: Receive a decision regarding the application for financial assistance.
